Got the Clutter Under Control

Sometimes the corner of my garage gets away from me.  Things are just thrown in the corner, tossed on the table and shoved aside for more stuff to be added to the heap.

Then I get the gardening bug and start rescuing half dead plants  that are on mark down from Lowes and repotting them to save them.  I can probably stop that for now, I have enough potted plants to take care of.

I can keep it under control for a few months, then it gets away from me.  Summer and early Fall are when the chaos is at its worse.  The heat and humidity make it unbearable to stay in the garage for any longer than necessary.

But even after a while, I can't take it anymore.  I start rearranging the shipping boxes and shipping tape.  Put stuff into piles that need to be listed, and more importantly, actually LIST stuff.

I contain the pool noodles ( I use them for packaging breakables) put the gardening leftover fertilizers and potting soil into a see-through bin with a lid, so I can have a better idea of what's on hand for next year.

The floors are swept, the work tables are wiped off and the grandkid's toys are put away, at least for now.

There is order in my corner of the garage, at least for now.  It sure feels good.

  1. The Flylady calls those hot spots. They seem to collect stuff when we are not looking. LOL Your corner of the garage looks so much better. I am working on my bedroom closet today. Wish me luck. :)
